Mergers and acquisitions rise 47.4% in Brazil

The number of Mergers and Acquisitions increased by almost 50% in Brazil during the first quarter of 2022, according to data published by KPMG. The survey, carried out with 43 sectors of the Brazilian economy, shows a total of 553 operations in the country.

The study also brings revealing data on the digital tech market, showing that 58.77% of total transactions were between internet and technology companies.

Expectations for the second quarter are even better. In an interview with CNN, Luis Mota, partner at KPMG and responsible for the research, despite the crisis of the current scenario that affects the tech market, these continue to be survival tools for businesses. That is, whoever comes up with a good solution to a problem will awaken the interest of the market.
