Web3 is waaaaaay different in concept and operation from the web we know. It is not simply an evolution of Web 2.0, which gave rise to social networks. Architecturally speaking, it is a combination of interconnected and highly secure decentralized platforms, which are based on the blockchain. It may seem like a complex explanation, but what we need to know is that it uses the open internet to inscribe a series of possible activities on the blockchain and the blockchain is, so to speak and making our life easier here, an encrypted web layer that makes transactions possible. more diverse about her. All decentralized, traceable and transparent. (Well, in theory at least). That is why it is said that it is more democratic and that it will allow us poor mortals to have more control of our online data. There’s a lot of controversy over who will actually control Web 3, but that’s not my point here.

My point here is that until now it had not been mapped in its various operationalities and layers. Now, CB Insights has done this in a very didactic and easy to understand way.

The merit of this map is that it shows us the financial part, which is what everyone looks at first and most so far, but it also shows that it can be used for many other purposes. Take a look and start imagining the possibilities.
